Article Retrieval Team Application

Thanks for applying to be a member of our Article Retrieval Team! We are cultivating a motivated and detail-oriented team of article retrievers to help us locate academic journal articles for our upcoming videos so others may benefit from this important, life-saving information.

Role

As a NutritionFacts.org volunteer, you will be responsible for locating, downloading, and filing scientific articles (which will be assigned to you) so that our research team may review them for our upcoming videos.

Requirements

• Online academic journal access (such as being a student at a university, librarian, or healthcare worker)
• Commit to finding approximately 30 – 60 predetermined articles per week
• Comfortably able to volunteer 1 – 2 hours each week
• Detail-oriented
• Have a free Box account
• Access to internet and a personal computer. Tablets and smartphones will not work.

Responsibilities

• Use PubMed and your online journal access to locate target articles
• Download and file articles (for Fair Use nonprofit research purposes, not public distribution)
