Spanish Health Support Volunteer Application

Thanks for applying to our Volunteer Health Support program! We are cultivating a skilled team of volunteers with a medical and/or nutrition background who can help us respond to questions in the comments section of our Spanish Instagram, and promote a welcoming and engaging environment.

Role

Answer questions for users on our Spanish Instagram during a weekly shift.

Requirements

Native Spanish speaker
Strong familiarity with the content on NutritionFacts.org
Excellent written communication skills
Exquisite organizational skills, work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail
Doctor, dietitian, or other medical or nutrition degree or certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

Respond to questions in the comments section of our posts
Volunteers use NutritionFacts.org “Team” accounts to respond to comments on social media

Help site users to get their questions answered in a safe, encouraging space. Our site users are very hungry for knowledge and ask a lot of questions, so your task is to jump in with answers and referrals to previous NutritionFacts.org videos or other resources.

Answer user questions using evidence-based research from NutritionFacts.org (a video, blog post, or even a comment from another Health Support Volunteer) or one of the citations listed under the video, and add a link to your source. Here are ways to find information on this site:

1. Check out the 'Topics' feature. If there is text at the top of a page for a Topic, you can copy the link for that topic.

2. Use the search box to find videos and articles.

Encourage interest, enthusiasm, and traffic on the website. Do this by briefly answering questions and also making sure to link back to other content on the website for more information.
