  1. I have been bruising. Any suggestions? I am 80, with all the diseases of affluence. Live in Canada but come from LA. I remember when the Pritikin clinic opened. I’ve been a health nut most of my life and a semi vegetarian for much of my life. I have been a vegan for over-a year now to lower my cholesterol. It worked, but i am still on all my pills. Don’t say Being vegan doesn’t mean you eat right, I do know potato chips are not good nutrition and popcorn is not a vegetable. I could go on but even though you don’t know me, you are one of my mentors.so I’m asking, was it something l ate?

  2. You’re mostly correct, but popcorn is simply cooked corn. There is nothing wrong with it. The problem with popcorn is all the oil, salt and sugar that often goes into it. Simply putting unpopped popcorn in the microwave oven in a paper bag is very much a healthy WFPB food choice.

  3. Who are the 3 plant based dietitians he recommended checking out for raising plant based children? It was hard to make out the names, I believe one was Brenda Davis? I am always looking for plant based child-rearing resources, thank you!

  4. I’d like to know the charities Dr Greger supports. In particular, Chilis on Wheels mentions his support. I am considering donating to this organization and want to be sure my money is going to a good cause. Thanks.

    1. Hi Rhonda,

Donations made to NutritionFacts.org directly support us. In addition, Dr. Greger donates the proceeds from his book sales to several organizations: For the pandemic book it’s pandemic prevention and mitigation charities like Good Food Institute, Plant Based Foods Association Foundation and Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy. For previous books it’s put-science-into practice organizations like Balanced, Physicians Association for Nutrition, and Proveg.

I hope that helps answer your question!

      1. Thanks for getting back to me. Do you know if dr. Greger has donated to Chilis On Wheels? They list him as a donor. I’m considering a substantial donation and want to be sure they’re legit. Thank you.
