Official NutritionFacts.org launch date: Monday, August 22

NutritionFacts.org launches two weeks from today, which means that starting 8/22 I’m going to be uploading a new video every day, seven days a week (for at least the first 365 days). I’ll write daily blogs to put the new videos in context, cover newly published papers, and address breaking news. I’ll take research requests, respond to comments, and answer any questions anyone has. Our mission is to be a noncommercial, strictly science-based source for the latest in clinical nutrition.

And our mission begins two weeks from today.

About Michael Greger M.D.

Michael Greger, M.D., is a physician, author, and internationally recognized professional speaker on a number of important public health issues. Dr. Greger has lectured at the Conference on World Affairs, the National Institutes of Health, and the International Bird Flu Summit, testified before Congress, appeared on The Dr. Oz Show and The Colbert Report, and was invited as an expert witness in defense of Oprah Winfrey at the infamous "meat defamation" trial. Currently Dr. Greger proudly serves as the Director of Public Health and Animal Agriculture at the Humane Society of the United States.

Such a great initiative. I am promoting this website to anyone that is interested or not :) People need to hear about the science related to nutrition over and over again, because bringing about change is hard, especially when it comes to diet. This format with videos and explanations is very user friendly and easy to ‘digest’. Thank you very much for providing this information for free.

Agreed with all the above, I was previously not interested in nutrition but since finding your lectures and videos I have developed a passion for optimum nutrition (which also is 100% consistent with my food choices and ‘beliefs’).

As my partner exclaimed just from overhearing a video, you have the ability to explain complicated issues in an extremely easy to understand and interesting way. Anyone of any level can understand and enjoy the videos, while improving their life and health in the process! Yay!

  Isn’t it amazing? I feel the same way. The more I learn, the healthier I want to eat! On some level, for example, I always knew broccoli was good for you, but it wasn’t until I learned why it was so good (boosting the enzyme systems in our liver that detoxify carcinogens) that I strove to include so many greens in my family’s diet.
